For 3 hours last Friday night, Tonic Indy took over Fountain Square with a special announcement. We gathered three of Indy’s best bands, and in true Tonic Ball fashion, let unique renditions of the themed bands for this year’s concert do the talking for us. Joey Welch and the Vertiginous 5 climbed to the roof of the Murphy Arts Center to belt out U2 songs to the crowd and cars gathered below. Down at Radio Radio, Freddie T and the People introduced the crowd to a soul filled Stevie Wonder set. The evening was capped off with a rare appearance of the United States Three doing a special Kinks/US3 set.
