We gave our friends over at the Indy Star some inside info, and it’s not just second hand news: On November 21, Tonic Ball 13 will celebrate the music of Fleetwood Mac (plus the solo work of Stevie Nicks), Velvet Underground (plus the songs of Lou Reed) and Nirvana (plus the rock and roll stylings of Foo Fighters).
Tonic Ball 13 kicks off on August 1 with a launch party at Fountain Square’s newest gem, The Hi-Fi, featuring special performances by Apache Dropout, Brian Deer and Phyllis – a Tonic newcomer group and two veteran performers. Tickets for this year’s Ball will be available for a one-night only price of $20, and bands wanting to play the ball will also be able to sign up beginning then.
When: Friday, August 1, 2014, 5 – 7 p.m.
Where: The Hi-Fi
Murphy Art Center – 1st Floor
1043 Virginia Ave, Suite 4
Indianapolis, IN 46203
The Tonic Ball committee and crew are excited to support Second Helpings “One Mission. One Million” effort. This new, yearlong initiative aims to prepare and deliver one million meals to hungry Hoosiers from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. Every dollar raised through Tonic tickets fights hunger in central Indiana.
In addition to hosting music at Radio Radio, White Rabbit Cabaret, The Hi-Fi and Fountain Square Theatre, Tonic Ball 13 will also feature Tonic Gallery—a silent art auction— and Tiny Tonic—just for kids.
